It is sometimes difficult to execute complex sequences of movements with the keyboard, however. You CAN change it, although altering the settings is not the most intuitive process. (Some Windows users only have a one-click mouse like me). You can fix this by reconfiguring the keyboard controls so that when you press the left-hand command key (without clicking mouse), you get the same thing as a right-click or whatever the default is. NOTE: I noticed one review was unable to get the controls to work. I really like that the same puzzle can often be solved in more than one way, depending on which abilities you prefer to use. Things I like about this game include the completely gorgeous and atmospheric graphics, the ability to switch among three characters who have different abilities and can attain different upgrades, the puzzles that are just challenging enough but not so hard that I'm always having to check a walkthrough to get to next stage. Stop reading this and go click the green button up there. What more do you want in a game?! Buy it. It’s inexpensive, the content is robust, the length is adequate, and the graphics are stellar. Some have come close, but this is the total package. Trust me, I’ve been searching for a game like this for almost 15 years now. You will never have a bad thing to say about Trine 2. Although you’ll need to fiddle around a bit to set up what works for you, it’s a million times worth it. If you’re using a single button mouse, it will require some additional configuration within the game (as stated before). Nay, you ARE the strategy guide.ĭon’t listen to the “controls don’t work” reviews, they just don’t know how to use a Windows yet (no offense intended). If you’re into puzzles, guess what? There’s multiple solutions to each one! You’re not stuck looking up BS strategy guides or googling for boss info. Mushy stuff aside, the graphics are STELLAR! Even on my 2012 PC no complaints. Quickly will Trine 2 become that game you always look upon with fondness and deep regard. This game will replace whatever you had in your heart as an all-time favorite.
